Linocut is a form of relief printmaking where a design is cut into the linoleum surface with the raised areas representing a reversal of the parts to show printed. The ink is rolled onto the linoleum with a brayer and run through a press. For this piece, the blue gradient was rolled onto a similar-sized blank piece of linoleum.
